    ATHENS, Ohio - Senior Shaun Gunnell (Columbus, OH) posted a second place finish in the men's shot put to lead a handful of athletes representing the University of Rio Grande in Friday's Ohio Open hosted by Ohio University.
    Gunnell posted his runner-up finish with a heave of 14.32m in the final event of the regular season.
    Junior Kim Strunk (Milford, OH) had the top showing among the RedStorm's female athletes, taking fourth place in the women's shot put with a toss of 12.41. She also placed eighth in the discus throw at 37.13m.
