GULF SHORES, Ala. – Sarah Biehl (SO/Lowell, Ohio) made her NAIA Outdoor Track & Field debut Friday evening in the 5,000 meters. As the third individual to compete in this event for the Bears in the national championships over the past four years of varsity track, Biehl was denied a chance at making it back-to-back seasons where Shawnee State would have a women's runner in the 5,000 meter finals. Halle Richards (SO/Vincent, Ohio) was also scratched from the opening heat after originally qualifying the event.
